The Battle at Apache Pass

The Battle at Apache Pass
Major Cavalry USA Jim Colton (John Lund) maintains friendly relations with the leader of the apricots chirikawa – Kochiz (Jeff Chandler). Ambitious agent for the affairs of the Indians Baylor (Bruce Cowling) intends to expel the Apache from their land, and place in the reservation of San Carlos. He makes a deal with the enemy Kochiz, the leader of the Mogollon Geronimo, who attacks civilians, kidnaps the son of a local farmer, and leaves evidence against Kochiz.

In the absence of Colton, Baylor convinces Lieutenant George Baskoma (John Hudson) that he should lead a military campaign against the Apaches of Cochise to return the boy. The campaign ends in a catastrophe, and hostages taken from both sides. Tribes of Indians unite and meet with Colton troops on the Apache Pass, but the Indians do not yet know that they will have to confront the modern (for that time) artillery.
